🍎 Attendance Matters! Know the Benchmarks for Student Success. Did you know consistent attendance is one of the biggest predictors of long-term success? Every day in class counts! Why showing up is so important:Academic Impact: Chronic absence, especially in early grades, makes it less likely for children to read at grade level by third grade. Instructional Time: Being absent means missing valuable classroom instruction and essential learning opportunities. Long-Term Success: High attendance rates are strongly linked to greater academic achievement and overall well-being. Check your student's attendance status: Status Attendance Rate Excellent97% or higher Good/Acceptable 95% to 96% At-risk 91% to 95% Chronically AbsentLess than 90% Let's work together to reach the Excellent (97%+) mark!#AttendanceMatters #EveryDayCounts #StudentSuccess

Let's take a quick look at next week.

Ok, quick recap of yesterday: Thanksgiving Lunch = FANTASTIC! Thank you so much to our Cafeteria Ladies! Our F-Y Junior High Girls won and will be playing for the championship tomorrow @ 3:00 PM. Our F-Y Junior High Boys came up short, so they will be playing for 3rd Place tomorrow @ 2:00 PM. Games start at 9:00 AM, and all games will be played in the North Gym. (Keep in mind that game times are approximate. The games might run ahead or behind.) Quick Reminder: The concession stand will have sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast burritos for sale, and we will be cooking up a fresh batch of chili. Thank you to everyone who has been able to come out to the tournament this week. (PS: If you see Ms. Brooke, give her a pat on the back or a hug. She once again has organized a great tournament! Thank you Ms. Brooke!)

This week is rolling right along. Both of our Grade School Basketball Teams won today at Hooker. Congratulations to them! Grades 9-12 took a trip to Tyrone and participated in their Career Fair. They represented Yarbrough and themselves very well, as always! Looks like we are down to our Thanksgiving Lunch and two more days of Junior High Basketball Tournament Action. Come out to the tournament and watch some F-Y JH BB if you get the chance. If you can't make it and would like to watch, we will be live-streaming Yarbrough's games on our YouTube Channel. http://www.youtube.com/@yarbroughschool
We will be cooking up some good food in the concession stand, so stop by and see us. Homemade Chili, Fruit Tea, Cheeseburgers, Big All-Beef Hot Dogs, French Fries, Frito Pie, Nachos, Giant Pretzels, Candy, Drinks, and I think they are planning some Sausage, Egg, & Cheese Breakfast Burritos for Saturday morning. Thanks to everyone for your support during our tournament!
