Yarbrough Awarded 2nd O.E.T.T. Technology Grant!

Yarbrough Going Google:

Thanks to a new technology grant in the amount of $65,000 from the Oklahoma Educational Technology Trust (OETT), all students in grades 1 through 12 will be receiving a Samsung Google Chromebooks for the 2013-2014 school year.  Students will be able to use their Chromebooks at school and home. Teachers will also be issued new laptops. By switching to Google Apps for Education, students and teachers will be able to collaborate at a level never before possible. We are excited to continue our PowerUp! one-to-one laptop program with this new opportunity.  The OETT grant also provides for $25,000 in on-site professional development for the teachers throughout the school year. The training sessions are conducted by staff members of the K20 Center out of Norman. Look for more information concerning our new PowerUp! program in future Lobo Pride newsletters.
